A Lifetime of Leading with Customer Experience

"It hit at about 2 a.m. in the middle of Montana, driving alone on Highway 287, smoking a cigar. Pow! I want to be in the news business. By sunrise, I was on fire. Six months later I was a mobile radio news reporter driving a reworked milk truck for KREX in Grand Junction, Colorado. I was on my way."

Paul Kirwin progressed from radio to television eventually working as an anchor and producer for CBS and ABC affiliates.

Kirwin Communications

With his news business experience he started Kirwin Communications. The company produced training videos for rep clinics and introduced highly successful outdoor sports technologies for Salomon, Rossignol, Marker, Specialized, Converse, The North Face, Malden Mills, and HEAD, and many others.

In 2010 he was named by the news publication SNEWS as one of the ten most influential people in the Outdoor Industry. He is a Rocky Mountain Emmy award winning writer and director.

New Media and Connecting Brands with Consumers

3point5 ExperticityHe then turned his attention to new media and training online. 3point5 is the standard distance between a retail salesperson and a customer during a sales floor conversation. Sales messages had to travel that last 3 and a half feet and Kirwin thought online training and rewards for doing it, would be the answer. It has grown into the largest online training and influencer platform in the world and now called Experticity.

Seeing the reach and power of online communications, Paul gambled that the next step would be consumer-to-consumer communication online. He started Channel Signal collecting product reviews, as that was the actionable data.

Channel SignalChannel Signal is the fastest growing product review company in the country.

Paul is a Rocky Mountain Emmy award winning writer and director. Under his direction Kirwin Communications won regional and national awards in most media including Addys for video, radio, billboard, print and cross-media. In 2010 he was named on of the top ten most influential people in the outdoor business.

Paul has come a long way from driving that KREX milk truck. He lives in Park City, Utah with his wife, Alison, two dogs and two expensive horses. Both are active in the environment, local projects, and many sports.
